We only formed in 2019, but we are already making an impact. As an organisation we possess a strong research background and believe in promoting and supporting archaeology worldwide. We are a part of a global network of researchers who are keen to welcome Past to Present Archaeology in excavating sites of all periods in a number of locations. Whether you are interested in prehistory, fanatical about Romans or a passionate medievalist, you can experience an archaeological adventure with us.
Our projects are fun, exciting and informative, and best of all, everyone is welcome. We support our projects through crowdfunding, with every penny donated contributing towards the running of our projects. So whether you want to just feel like an archaeologist for a week or develop your professional skills, pack your trowel, as we cater for all by offering a high standard of training through our purposefully designed field schools, which cover a range of archaeological practices.
Field schools offer experiences and training in; excavation and recording techniques, environmental sampling strategies, anthropological studies and finds processing.
We are also in the process of developing day courses for the keen individual, here in the UK. You can find introductory and advanced courses in prehistoric flintworking, human osteoarchaeology and geophysical survey. With more courses spanning different disciplines coming soon.
